An invisible red thread connects those that are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break.~Ancient Chinese Proverb

The other day I was sitting around with a group of my sweet Friends, and we were talking about GRACE.

How we know we all SHOULD have it, SHOULD show it, SHOULD exude it.....

But how, often times, in fits of disappointment or anger..we don't.

After getting together, one of the ladies ran across this, and sent it to me......

Thought it was too good not to pass on....

Lions, Tigers and Bears...ohh my!!!

IYesterday we spent a fun filled day at our local Zoo!
It was perfect weather and we so lucky to be joined by our fabulous friends...

While it was packed (everyone else had the same idea!), we managed to make our way through the whole park, getting glimpses of all of the animals...

Well, Day 1 of our Spring Break was a success!!!!

Now, we are off to the Mountains to visit our sweet Aunt....and maybe see some snow flurries!!!!

Forget the Frock 2014

Forget the Frock started when God convicted the heart of one woman...

Emily, born and raised in the South, knew all too well the annual Easter lead-up: stores filled with expensive frilly clothing, mom’s discussing the perfect dresses and little Easter suits for months before the day arrived. She had lovingly participated in the tradition her entire life and as the mom of two young girls the tradition was sure to continue.

But, you see, God had begun to change Emily's heart. Thanks in part to the adoption process of her best friend Emily's eyes had been opened to the plight of the orphan. Her heart had been stirred for the needy, the helpless, the widowed, and the victimized. God had meticulously planted a seed of change in her heart, which had taken root and demanded more room, more time, more focus...and suddenly, she found the entire Easter tradition frivolous.

Instead of seeing frilly dresses, she saw hollow bellies and sunken eyes. Every price tag reminded her of just how many children could be fed with that one purchase.

Emily had recently become acquainted with Feeding the Orphans, how the purchase of just one t-shirt from their site could help feed an orphan. She knew she heard the gentle voice of Jesus nudging her to do something to honor the orphans He loved so dearly.

Forget the hair bows, forget the shoes, and forget the dainty little cardigans… FORGET THE ENTIRE EASTER FROCK… The Fox Family would FEED an Orphan with their Easter attire!

As Emily and her husband, Jason shared their convictions, people began to share the passion... others followed their lead using social media sites to spread the word and invite friends to join. Soon, hundreds of people, even entire church congregations, were choosing to “Forget the Frock."  The numbers are humbling. Since 2011FORGET THE FROCK has helped raise nearly $50,000 for orphan care simply by asking people to dress with a PURPOSE on Easter.

Our mission this year is Orphans.. To help feed ONE (or in our case, 5), but you can choose ANY mission...and buy a tee to wear on Easter. Show your support and take a stand... go against the grain... .I promise... You'll be glad you did!

So, ditch those frilly dresses, neckties and buttons shirts your kids hate wearing, and choose an Organization that supports something important to you!!
We have had fun picking out our favorite tees that will each help support an Orphan.. And we will be sporting them next weekend....

Will you??

Palm Sunday

Happy Palm Sunday!!

Whether you are spending the day on vacation with your loves ones over Spring Break or spent your day at home... I truly hope you have enjoyed this day.

I got a little teary eyed as I watched our boys wave their palm leaves as they marched into our sanctuary, laying the palms upon the altar. We even got a quick wave from our middle son and a little "thumbs up", while our oldest was so taken aback my the sheer magnitude of it all that he completely forgot to lay his palm at the altar... We giggled from our pew...;-))

We got the kids all dolled up today, as we are gearing up for our First anual "Forget the Frock" campaign next Sunday... Easter, where we will be ditching our Sunday best for shirts with a PURPOSE. (Stay tuned as I'm doing a blog entry all about WHAT it is, and how YOUR Family can get involved!!)

We hope you all have had a wonderfully, blessed week and that as we approach this upcoming Holy Week, that we are reminded of the eternal sacrifice that Jesus made for us....

Sibling LOVE

Oh my goodness... It's moments like these that take my breath away.
The sweet, tender moments between Siblings.

Not sure what these little Blessings would do without each other.
Not sure what they did before each other.

But oh how I love how they ADORE each other....

These are the precious moments that matter most. The memories created behind these walls...these hearts...these lives.

I am one blessed Momma and Wife....

Happy Sunday Ya'll...

Oh how I love Sundays.
Gathering with my sweet little Family and Friends to Worship our Heavenly Father.

There isn't a Sunday, that I am not moved and brought to tears by something. Something that I've heard during the sermon, something that's been weighing heavily on my mind the past week, or something that I am overflowing with gratitude for. I'm emotional... And the tears always flow.

Today was no different. As I sat there, I began to think about all of the blessings in my life.
My husband. Always loyal. Ever faithful.
My children. Abundant smiles. Endless hugs.
My Family. There when I need them. Proud to call me their own.

And then I think of my relationship with HIM.
Always faithful. Always there for me. Never judging. Always forgiving. Nudging me along the way....making my path straight (even when I feel my roads winding).

How lucky are we to be SO LOVED?
His love brings a confidence when we are  unsure, a stability when we are shaken, a grace when we lose our composure, a faith when we have lost all doubt. SO LOVED. ALWAYS.

I hope that wherever you spent your Sunday... That you were reminded of this great love. That you felt it in your heart... And that you passed it on to others....

Happy Sunday!!! God Bless Ya'll!!!
